Sheraton Manila Hotel Review: Staycation with Kids

As you can probably already tell, we love staycations. And we love taking the kids with us when we have one. Our most recent stay was at the newly opened Sheraton Manila and everybody had a great time (including the baby!)

If you love planes or if you’re just longing for a good feast fiesta, read on to find out more!

Sheraton Manila

Located right across Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, Sheraton Manila is one of the latest luxury hotels to open in the metro. It’s part of the Resorts World Manila group.

Lunch at S Kitchen: Sunday Fiesta

We arrived at Sheraton Manila before check-in time (intentionally) so we could have lunch at S Kitchen. It was a Sunday and that means we would be enjoying their special Sunday Fiesta buffet!

Sunday Fiesta happens at Sheraton Manila’s S Kitchen every Sunday from 12 nn to 3 p.m. Expect an elevated Filipino buffet. Here, you’ll get to feast on your favorite Filipino dishes! They have EVERYTHING: seafood, fresh lumpia, lechon (of all kinds!) and of course, desserts!

There was no shortage of delicious dishes to try, from good classics to fusion dishes with a unique twist! I wrote about it more in detail on this article: 8 Must-Try’s at Sheraton Manila’s Sunday Fiesta.

Drinks were included too. Yay! (Tip: You have to try the melon!)

King Deluxe Room: Airport View

After that delicious feast, we headed for our room. We booked a King Deluxe Room and requested for an extra bed for Luke and a baby cot for Dylan.

We were welcomed with fruits, wine and queso de bola tart! So good.

If you’re an avgeek like my husband, you should definitely book the room with the airport view. We asked for it specifically at the front desk and was so glad they had rooms available. Mor said he could spend hours just sitting here watching all the planes land and take off.

I think my other two little boys could have as well. And I have to say, it was very relaxing. Definitely a nice change from the usual garden, city or pool view.

Bathroom was clean, modern and spacious.

I should mention as well: each room features the renowned Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience bed. What’s amazing about it? I think I’ll let our photos do the talking.

Now, how to get them out of the bed…

Kids Club

After settling in, we decided to explore the hotel. Luke wanted to visit the Kids Club so that was our first stop!

Made especially for kids ages 12 and under, there’s something in here for everyone. There are computer consoles for the older kids and rockers and slides for younger ones. And if you have a baby, don’t worry…

… there’s even a private breastfeeding room inside! The Kids Club is open from 8am to 7pm daily and is located near the gym and pool! So if you plan on sneaking in a workout session while your kids are enjoying themselves here, you can! Hehe.

Sheraton Club

Our booking included access to the Sheraton Club so we decided to stop by for afternoon snacks afterwards.

At the time of this article’s writing, the Sheraton Club is located at the Mezzanine level. However, this is only a temporary location while they finish up the rest of the property. We were told that the permanent spot for the Sheraton Club should be ready before 2019 ends.

A lot of people asked this on my Instagram: Are kids allowed at the club lounge? Happy to report that YES, kids are allowed inside the Sheraton Club!

Not many club lounges allow kids inside but I’m grateful that Sheraton allows kids inside. But of course, as common courtesy dictates, parents should take responsibility and make sure the kids are not disruptive to other guests.

Throughout the day, snacks such as cookies are provided, together with coffee, tea and drinks.

But during cocktails, which happens late afternoon, they serve canapés and hors d’oeuvres.

They also serve (very filling) hot dishes. During our stay, there was chicken noodle soup, pork estofado and more! It actually served as our dinner already. Hehe.

Luke is a pro at hotel lounges (haha!) and he was just quietly and happily devouring everything.

After, we decided to retire early and let the kids rest so we could enjoy a full morning the next day.

Breakfast at S Kitchen

I love a good breakfast buffet and happy to say that the breakfast at Sheraton Manila’s S Kitchen did not disappoint. Filipino kakanin for breakfast? Thank you very much!

Classic Filipino breakfast staples like longganisa and tocino are available. And they even have fresh buko juice too! Yum!

And if you’re wondering what Dylan had for breakfast, it’s melon! I asked the staff if they could have the melons blended so that my baby could have it and they happily obliged! Great service. (PS. I drank the rest of the juice that he didn’t finish hehe!)

The Vega Pool

One of the things I was most impressed with is the pool. There’s so many things to love about Sheraton Manila’s pool. But before I go into the details, let’s take this moment to appreciate how gorgeous it looks first! 😮 I mean, really!

If you ask Luke, his favorite would be the sprinkler area at the kiddie pool! Easy to see why!

However for us, one of the things I love the most about the pool is that it’s a salt water pool!! Dylan has sensitive skin and his pedia advised us not to let him swim in pools before he turns one because of the chlorine. But because this pool doesn’t have chlorine, he had his first dip here! Aww and he loves it!

And how awesome is this pool bar? An invitation to chill all day! 😉

Overall: Sheraton Manila Staycation with Kids

Staycations are always fun with kids. But it’s always nice when hotels make the extra effort to welcome their little guests! Here are highlights and things we particularly loved about our stay at Sheraton Manila with the kids:

We had a memorable stay for sure and would recommend it to families traveling with little kids. Enjoy!
